Basically, rhinoplasty is divided into two: primary and revision. In primary rhinoplasty, the patient has not had a previous nose surgery. Results are more predictable and success rates are higher. In the revision group, the anatomy of the nose due to previous procedures became complicated. Surgery is more difficult and the recovery period is slightly longer.
When an experienced surgeon in revision rhinoplasty and the appropriate technique come together, the result will be satisfactory.
We discharge our patient the next day after rhinoplasty. We remove the supports outside the nose and the sutures, if any, in the first week. Although some swelling and a feeling of pressure are expected in this process, almost none of our patients describe pain. In the first week, we allow daily activities and air travel.
